A standard bathroom renovation typically takes 1-2 weeks from start to completion. Days 1-2 involve removing the old suite, tiles, and preparing surfaces. Days 3-4 cover first-fix plumbing and electrics, tanking (waterproofing) walls and floors to prevent water damage, and any necessary plastering. Days 5-8 involve tiling walls and floors (allowing drying time between coats and adhesive curing), installing new sanitaryware, shower enclosure or bath, and second-fix plumbing and electrics. Days 9-10 cover grouting, silicone sealing, decorating, and final testing of all systems. Wetrooms require additional time for proper floor preparation and drainage. If structural work or soil pipe relocation is needed, add 3-5 days. Building Control inspections for significant alterations may extend timelines. The bathroom is unusable throughout the renovation, so we work systematically to minimize disruption.
